Preparation plan
Practice in layers
- 01
Choose and confirm your voice part before committing notes to memory.
- 02
Learn pitch and rhythm slowly, then add text, diction, phrasing, and breath planning.
- 03
Practice against the all-parts recording so surrounding voices do not pull you off your line.
- 04
Include short sight-reading sessions; published instructions state that sight reading is part of the audition.
- 05
Record a complete run, listen once without singing, and bring specific questions to rehearsal.
